How we pick gear and gifts

What makes a list

We start from how people actually travel in Costa Rica: humid days, sudden rain, mixed beach and forest plans, and gifts that travel well by mail. Categories favor versatile product types—rain layers, daypacks, coffee, sun and insect protection—over trend gadgets.

We describe product types and search queries so you can compare brands, ratings, and shipping on Amazon. We do not invent prices, claim exclusive inventory, or publish fake best-seller ranks.

What we do not claim

• We do not operate a Costa Rica warehouse or sell our own SKUs.
• We do not guarantee stock, delivery dates, or product quality—Amazon and sellers set those terms.
• We do not replace medical or official travel advice; for vaccines and destination health notices, check a clinician and CDC Traveler View (or your country’s health authority).
• Tour booking isn’t our focus—sister EasyCostaRica guides cover canopy, fishing, hot springs, and surf.

How we earn

Some links on Everyday Costa Rica are partner links. If you click through and make a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Prices, availability, and shipping shown on Amazon are controlled by Amazon and its sellers and can change.

Other partners may include GetYourGuide and Viator for trip activities, and retail partner programs through CJ when we link directly to a product. Always read the provider’s terms before you buy or book.
